Capping the Bottles
6 1/2 cases of beautiful cherry Wedding wine getting capped and labeled. Can’t wait to share the big day in June!!
Growing up I spent many summers helping my grandfather make wine. Well mostly picking fruit and flowers for his wine, but definitely some of my best childhood memories. So, when our new farm had a mature orchard, I took it as a sign........It was time for me to rekindle a family tradition.
Country Fruit wine is as much an art as it is a science. Honey is the secret ingredient in our Wine. Pure Raw Honey instead of sugar is used for the fermentation. Honey is a natural preservative, it takes longer to mature, but the smooth rich flavor is worth the wait!
Planning each year is always a surprise, as you never know which fruits will be bountiful and which will be off. Our Orchard and surrounding properties bless us with Apples, Pears, Peaches, Cherries, Plums, Mulberries, and Currants. We also reach into the garden for Rhubarb, Raspberries, Blackberries and more. Small batches, made by hand, is our labor of love.
